JB300 Professional Dive Watch Uses Lightweight Carbon and High-Contrast Lume
Designed with input from combat divers, the $1,950 JB300 Professional pairs a forged-carbon case with a 300m rating and contrasting bezel lume.

The Jacques Bianchi Marseille x Deepsea.EDC JB300 Professional is built around a practical problem for divers on long underwater missions: a steel watch can feel cumbersome after hours in the water. Its forged-carbon case, reinforced strap attachment and two-color luminous bezel are aimed at reducing that burden and making elapsed time easier to read. The 41.5mm watch is priced at $1,950.
Jacque BianchiDesigned around extended dives
French watchmaker Jacques Bianchi Marseille developed the new model with Brock Stevens, a former US Navy diver who served on active duty for more than seven years. Stevens also sought feedback from combat divers he knew in the US Navy SEALs, MARSOC and Army Special Forces. He says he spoke specifically with divers who use the MK 25 rebreather on missions lasting several hours.
That input shaped the watch’s materials and layout. The case combines ultralight forged carbon with a Grade 5 titanium core for stability. Fixed lugs made from reinforced forged carbon hold the strap in place, addressing the connection point as well as the weight of the case. The design reflects a clear priority: a watch worn throughout a long dive needs to stay secure and manageable.

The new Professional follows an earlier collaboration, the JB300 Profonde. That model had a titanium case, a left-side crown, a no-date dial and 300m of water resistance. The Professional carries forward the left-side crown and water-resistance rating while replacing the case material and adding a distinctive luminous bezel.
Its black DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium bezel has a fully graduated scale filled with Super-LumiNova. The pip and first 15 minutes glow green, matching the minute hand; the hour markers, seconds hand and remaining 45 bezel markings glow blue. Stevens says the color contrast is intended to make the opening 15 minutes easier to track, when short navigation legs and other tasks may need quick timing in low light.

Legibility and fit
The matte-black dial uses oversized maxi-style indices and has no date display, keeping the face uncluttered. Large luminous hands have distinct shapes to help separate hours, minutes and seconds at a glance. The left-side crown is intended to avoid pressing into the wrist when the watch is worn on the left arm.
The case measures 41.5mm across and 13mm thick, with a 20mm lug width. The first 200 examples come with a black-and-red Watches of Espionage × Zulu Alpha Commando strap. Stevens says it is the strap he prefers for diving operations.

Inside, the watch uses a Swiss-made Soprod P024 automatic movement beneath a sapphire crystal. The movement has COSC chronometer certification, with a stated accuracy range of -4 to +6 seconds per day. That specification gives buyers a defined accuracy benchmark alongside the watch’s 300m water-resistance rating; it doesn’t replace the need to follow appropriate dive procedures or check equipment before use.

Price and availability
Stevens says he wanted to make a professional-spec watch more affordable for military and police personnel than options from luxury brands such as Omega and Tudor. The JB300 Professional is priced at $1,950, and production is limited to 500 pieces. Of those, 200 are set aside as unit watches; the remaining 300 are scheduled to go on sale November 3 through Jacques Bianchi’s website.
The specifications focus on the demands described by the divers consulted: lower case weight, secure strap retention, clear time reading and a familiar 300m rating. For buyers considering it as a general-purpose dive watch, the fixed lugs are a meaningful fit constraint, while the contrasting bezel lume and left-side crown are specific design choices. The supplied strap and movement accuracy are useful details to weigh alongside price and dimensions.

For a watch pitched at divers spending hours underwater, the case material and fastening system are as central to the design as its depth rating. The JB300 Professional’s key trade-offs are visible before it reaches the water: a lightweight carbon-and-titanium construction, fixed strap bars, and a bezel whose first 15 minutes stand apart in low light.
