BlackHeart Road Ti Returns With Titanium Frame Details and Builds From $3,499

BlackHeart Bike Co’s updated Road Ti brings the brand’s recent 3D-printed frame details to its titanium road platform. The bike keeps the ride character and race-focused geometry of the previous model, while adding practical touches for hose routing, tire clearance and fender use. Framesets start at $3,499; complete builds range from $5,799 to $13,749.

A familiar ride, refined frame

The Road Ti uses premium 3/2.5 double-butted titanium tubing, with dropped seatstays that curve slightly. BlackHeart describes the ride as smooth yet responsive. A kammtail downtube, one-piece carbon cockpit and fully integrated cabling give the bike a contemporary road profile while preserving titanium as the frame material.

Pro fit geometry is intended to keep handling quick and sharp. The company says the new version carries forward the characteristics that helped its predecessor earn Cyclingworld Europe’s 2024 Best Race Bike award. That history provides a useful point of reference, though the revised frame details are the main changes described here.

Small frame features with practical consequences

The 3D-printed details first used on BlackHeart’s Road Plus Ti now appear on the Road Ti. A seamless cutout at the seat tube creates additional space for tires and fenders. BlackHeart lists clearance up to 700x35mm with fenders, giving riders a choice to build around narrower road tires or fit a wider setup within that stated limit.

The T47-68 bottom bracket shell has a lower channel and retaining clip to keep the brake hose routing tidy. A solid brake mount incorporates a self-guiding hose port, which the company says makes assembly and service simpler. These details won’t change the bike’s basic purpose, but they address the often fiddly work of building and maintaining an integrated road frame.

The Road Ti supports electronic 2x or 1x drivetrains and includes a removable direct-mount front derailleur hanger. Other listed standards and components include a Cane Creek HCR headset, a T47-68 bottom bracket, a round 31.6mm seatpost and UDH compatibility. The tubing is described as 100% recyclable premium 3/2.5 double-butted titanium.

Frameset and complete build choices

The $3,499 frameset includes the frame, an ENVE fork, a seatpost and a headset. Custom fork paint is available for an additional $300, with BlackHeart saying it can match any automotive paint it can source. Signature complete builds start at $5,799 and include a BlackHeart Carbon barstem, a SRAM Rival AXS or Shimano 105 Di2 groupset, and Hunt Allroad Alloy wheels.

Two higher-priced editions pair the frame with parts from ENVE or Zipp. The ENVE Edition costs $13,749 and includes a SRAM Red AXS 2X Power groupset, ENVE SES Aero Pro barstem V2, ENVE SES 4.5 Pro Carbon wheels, an ENVE Carbon seatpost and a CeramicSpeed Alpha BB. BlackHeart lists the size 56 build at 17 lbs 0 oz.

The Zipp Edition costs $13,499. Its spec includes a SRAM Red AXS 2X Power groupset, a Zipp SL 80 Race Carbon handlebar with a Zipp SL Service Course Alloy stem, Zipp 202 NSW wheels, a BlackHeart Carbon seatpost and a CeramicSpeed Alpha BB. The size 56 build is listed at 16 lbs 12 oz. Those figures are the supplied weights for the specified builds; riders comparing complete bikes should check the final configuration they plan to order.

Fit support, preparation and availability

BlackHeart offers nine sizes for riders from 5’0″ to 6’7’. Its Perfect Fit Program includes a free 30-minute one-to-one consultation to discuss frame size, build specification and geometry. Riders can use their measurements and current bike as references during the appointment. If a rider who completes the program is unhappy with the selected size, BlackHeart says it will cover shipping to exchange the frame for another size.

Each frame is reamed, chased and faced at the factory, so the listed preparation work is complete before the frame reaches its next build stage. BlackHeart also backs the Road Ti with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original owner. Signature editions developed with ENVE, SRAM and Zipp are available alongside the standard build choices.

The new Road Ti is expected in stock in November at blackheartbikeco.com and through BlackHeart’s expanding dealer network. For riders weighing the options, the key decision is how much of the complete build they want to select up front: the frameset leaves room to choose components, while the signature editions arrive with named parts and listed build weights.
